Glovable

No-Sew Size-less Gloves for Adventurers

Course: Practical Workshop: “Cutting – Connecting” Laser cutting meets community sustainability principles in Jerusalem | Instructor: Rosenfeld Galya | 4th Year

In this project, we wanted to create an object which didn’t leave much waste.
We decided to develop a glove, and through that, we chose leather as the material for the project.

We chose a rectangular shape as a base in order to create folds and supply tolerance to allow fitting the glove for different sizes.
Taking into consideration the anatomical shape of the hand we created curves so the material won’t disturb movement and function.

Glovable is in fact a seamless glove, with adjustable straps all cut as one piece with laser.

Made and designed in collaboration with Rouhama Assaraf from Siur Mochot and Odelia Afriat.

Materials: Cow leather, brass round monk head studs
Technique: Laser cutting
