The theme I chose for this project was the greek tragedy Oedipus Rex, and the collection was developed with the tragic ending of the play in mind.
The chosen design for the jacket was inspired by the moment Oedipus found his mother hanged in her own room, lifeless.
The Jacket is hanged with a hanger from the ceiling, hanging along with it the model herself.
Once the hanger is removed, the jacket falls and receives a “Street Wear” look.
The entire project was made with recycled denim pants.
